Diet culture- a 70 billion dollar industry, and shifting food fads have stolen our self-trust. We no longer know what to eat, what to do with cravings, or how to determine what is even healthy.
We just keep trying harder. Research is clear that the process of restricting food (aka dieting) is unsustainable, your body and mind are designed to resist food deprivation in order to survive. If diets “worked," you would never have to go on another one again. There is no lack of willpower, it's NOT your fault. You did not fail — diets fail you.
Many other factors contribute to our struggles with food and body. Some are within our control, like certain food patterns and behaviors. Others are out of our hands, such as our genetics, socioeconomic factors, illness and more.
Yet, there is a way forward! We all can give our bodies the care they deserve, no matter their size, shape or state of health. Through a non-diet lens and the process of intuitive and mindful eating, you can end the internal conflict and discover the confidence you need to nourish your body and obtain a healthy relationship with food.
